Our Mission

Educate

At the Student Startup Center, we don’t expect you to show up with a perfect idea or a polished pitch.

We’re here to educate you in what it really means to be an entrepreneur: how to spot real problems, talk to customers, test ideas quickly, and decide what’s worth your time and energy.

You’ll learn the language and mindset of startups so that when you see something in the world that feels broken or unfair, you’ll know how to do more than notice it—you’ll know how to start working on it.

Once your curiosity is sparked, we equip you to move from “I’ve been thinking about this…” to “I built something to solve this.”

That means access to tools, space, mentors, and a community of other students who are also trying, failing, learning, and trying again.

You don’t need to be an engineer, a business major, or a “founder” already—if you’re willing to experiment and learn, we’ll give you what you need to turn vague ideas into real prototypes and real opportunities.

Equip

Empower

Ultimately, our goal is to empower you to own your journey.

We want you to leave the Center not just having attended events, but having led projects, launched experiments, and taken risks you didn’t think you were “ready” for.

If a part of you wonders whether you could actually start something that matters, this is where you get to find out—with support, with structure, and with people who genuinely believe students can create their own jobs and make the world better by starting now, not “someday.”
